Ive looked into a personal health care plan and just checked a family plan because of what you said and for a family of 4 going off the best plan where i live it would cost about 6500 dollars a year. which would end up less as most people i know in that situation are contributing more than the balance of 1500 for the year for their share of the premium after the employer pays the rest. still i know alot of people who pay more. Even if california for the same family setup it was 9000. a balance of 4k. still i know alot of people who pay more. 5k credit maybe would need to be adjusted for the average cost in the area.
