A bibliography is a list of sources (books, journals, Web sites, periodicals, etc.) one has used for researching a topic. Sam, didn t the teacher go over this in class? Sheesh, s/he should have. There s a definite method or organizing and presenting the materials. Write yourself a little outline, nothing fancy. Start with an introductory paragraph with an overview. Example: The Dominican Republic is a country of contrasts, from wealth to poverty, first world to third world living conditions, jungle to sandy beaches. Next, get more specific about the statement made in your introductory paragraph. Following my little example, you d go into details about citizen s income, how they live, and geography, in the same order they appear in your intro. Each paragraph should make a single point, stated in its first sentence and supported by the rest of the paragraph. Example: (I m making this up, BTW.) While most citizens of the Dominican Republic live in dire poverty, the wealthiest have incomes in excess of $500,00 a year. Then you d give statistics about income levels for everybody. Close with a restatement of your first paragraph. Voila, done!
