Whether at a party or a play date, preschoolers love games. No longer toddlers, they have a growing interest in playing with other kids. Physically, they''''''''re now steady on their feet and learning to hop, skip, jump, and even somersault. Preschoolers are ready for games with simple rules and don''''''''t be surprised if they''''''''re sticklers about following them to a "T."

The games below can be used for birthday parties, rainy day get-togethers, or anytime you find yourself with a bunch of energetic preschoolers on your hands.

Ideas and suggestions for outdoor preschool activities that develop into early childhood education lesson plans which teachers can use to encourage the gross motor and observation skills of young children. Our #1 Favorite! Snug As A Bug . Don’t let the stink bugs win! Cooperative game using numbers, shapes, colors and size to eliminate bugs on the board before the stink bugs take over. This is one of our go-to favorite preschool board games!

Count Your Chickens is a recent favorite as a gift from a friend. Another cooperative game where everyone works together to get the chicks to their nest. No reading necessary, just match the animals to the spinner and count the spaces. Awesome preschool board game!

Maybe it could be a child spending time with the elderly. Playing games with them or just listening to them talk. Or if you re going with the preschool back drop the kid could be super good at sharing and somehow solve a conflict by getting everyone to share something of theirs with someone else. Like one kids needs this another needs that and the teacher needs whatever, the super sharer figures out that if they work together they can solve their problem.
