Тема: Help Writing a “Biology Final Term Paper.”?

Most journal-style scientific papers are subdivided into the following sections: Title , Authors and Affiliation , Abstract , Introduction , Methods , Results , Discussion , Acknowledgments , and Literature Cited , which parallel the experimental process. This is the system we will use. This website describes the style, content, and format associated with each section.

Main Section Headings: Each main section of the paper begins with a heading which should be capitalized , centered at the beginning of the section, and double spaced from the lines above and below. Do not underline the section heading OR put a colon at the end.

Talk about the different uses/applications for monoclonal antibodies. Start off with what they are and how they are made (this should take atleast a page up.). Then talk about the different uses. I good way to start is wiki ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monoclonal_antibodies ). Then move on to Google Scholar ( http://scholar.google.com/schhp?tab=ws ) where you can search the web for journal PDFs. I found this easier than going to the library and searching through the limited journal selection your school has subscribed to. When using Google Scholar, search the terms as usual, and then after each result there should be a link for "All # Versions". Click that and then go through the list to find whichever version is free to download (normally atleast one is.) Here is a link for a antibody that is used to detect proliferating cells during experiments: http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/112713361/abstract Here is one that is used to detect markers for mammary gland cancer: http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/112709941/abstract Here is one that is used treat breast cancer by binding to and inhibiting a specific receptor that causes cancer: http://nejm.highwire.org/cgi/content/abstract/344/11/783 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trastuzumab That should get you started. Use google scholar, search monoclonal antibody, and skim through the abstracts until some other articles pop out at you, then click the "All # Versions" to find the freely downloadable ones. Hopes this helps. EDIT: Just realized that if you link to the articles I posted from this post you will not be able to download PDF for free, but I was able to when I found them on google scholar by searching "monoclonal antibody review", and then linking through "All # Versions".
