Ballroom Dancing is a multi-billion dollar industry that will only continue to grow, especially now that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has awarded provisional recognition to Ballroom Dancing and Dancesport. According to a recent press release by WGBH-Television, more than one million people enroll in ballroom dance classes each year. Since 1985, the number of amateur ballroom dancers has increased by 25% each year.

According to the information published by the Bellingham/Whatcom Chamber of Commerce, Whatcom County had a total population of 166,814 for the year 2000 and is estimated to grow approximately 5% per year to 212,000 by the year 2010. The city of Bellingham had a total population of 68,890 in the year 2001. This figure has grown 30%, since 1990. Bellingham is surrounded by the smaller towns of Ferndale, Blaine, Lynden, Sumas, Everson, and Nooksak.

I know of this place in l.a. The studio is infront of the Cedars-Sinai hospital/Beverly Center. It is right on the corner of 3rd and Holt (close to 3rd and San Vicente). I don t know the name of the studio, but I have seen dancers dancing there. Looks like lots of fun! Also, I ve heard that "The Firm" workout videos work like a miracle! Hope you get the results you want!!!

Dancing is a historical tradition. Ballroom dancing has been alive at social functions for centuries, and Swing and Latin are the Waltz and Foxtrot of days gone by. In recent years, social dance has proved it''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s long lasting presence in our lives. It isn''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t usually taught parent-to-child so people are seeking schools where they can learn. With Dancesport being considered as a medal sport in the next Olympics, more people will be exposed to Social and Ballroom dance.

Most people use professional photo studios only on rare occasions, such as weddings, yearbook pictures, or baby portraits. Because the client has to initiate the call, many special moments are lost and the studio loses potential business. Photo studios generally charge a large fee for CDs of their clients'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' digital images. For these reasons, most photo studios are rarely used by families as a whole.

This photography business plan shows how Phoebe''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s Photo Studio will meet the needs of professionals and their families to capture the special moments in their lives and present them in the best light. You’ve grown up dancing; you can no longer ignore the itch to teach; you’ve been secretly planning your first recital theme for the past three years—in fact, you’re eagerly hatching plans to open your own studio. While your passion for dance and desire to pass on such a beloved artform will be strengths for running a studio, they are by no means sufficient to make it a success. Owning a studio is a commercial venture that requires capital, business savvy and an almost obsessive attention to detail. Here are six risk-reducing strategies to ease into studio ownership.

Long before you own your own studio, you can develop a student following, giving you a built-in clientele for your first year as a studio owner. Offer your dance teacher services to local after-school programs, gyms and churches.

Picking a good dance studio can be a difficult process but there are some things that you should look for as well as ask. Look for. What kind of flooring is in the studio? Marley, wood, concrete, linoleum? If the studio has linoleum or concrete, do not go here. This flooring could damage your feet and joints. You either want wood or marley flooring. Marley is a springing type of floor that is easier to dance on and wood is your second best. Is the place clean? Is it in good shape? You don t want to sneeze because of all of the dust or get bonked on the head by a falling ceiling! Is there a dress code in place? Usually if there is a dress code, the training is more professional. If there isn t a dress code, the studio is usually used just for fun purposes. Studio size: Is it big, small, medium? It should be medium-large sized as in dancing space. Things to ask: Are you a certified dance instructor? How early are girls put en pointe here?...You should ask this question even if you are not interested in ballet. This is because if you know that girls are put up too early, it is a sign that the studio is not very careful in what they do. Girls should be put up at or after the age of 12. Is this a competition, recital, or pre professional studio? What all is taught here? How long are the classes? Do you have any recommendations from others? Any photos of past recitals or competitions? Are private lessons offered? What is the price range for ________(what ever class(es) you are planning on taking)?...This is a good question because you need to know what prices work for you. If prices at one studio are too expensive, you can t really go to that studio unless you work out a deal with the owner or there is financial aid. But keep in mind not to sacrifice good and safe training for cheap prices. They re cheap for a reason. Are there any student requirements? ___________________________________________________________________________________ Hope this helped you out dear! I wish you luck on finding the right studio for you! :)

Even though Hunter’s professional career was cut short by her decision to stay in Wilson, she was able to perform across the country in the National Touring Company of “Jazz Is.” Hunter performed from the Lincoln Center in NYC all the way to Los Angeles, California. Hunter was one of three female dancers selected to perform in this “once in a lifetime” show. Hunter was invited by the NC Theater to perform in “West Side Story” as a dancer in 1984.

Caramy helps as an assistant in the Preschool Classes at the studio. Caramy is so helpful and patient with all of the little ones! She is good at helping the younger dancers deal with separation anxiety or any other issues they might have. Caramy knows every dancer’s name and is able to help parents with any questions. Even though Caramy has special needs, she is very productive and has proven that she plays an important role at the studio and in the little one’s lives!

Pick up a copy of the December/January Dance Magazine. They list all the Summer dance intensives with audition information. There is a Paul Taylor SI in NYC held at the LaGuardia P.A. H.S. in July and Alvin Ailey too at their NYC studios. Check Broadway Dance, Peridance & Steps as well. * Many of the modern SIs (like Parsons) only take students at age 18 and up unlike a ballet SI. They like dancers who have finished their ballet training and are strong. ** Jacobs Pillow is pretty elite. If you don t have a lot of dance training you should look for some other programs as a back-up safety. Good luck!

Dancing is a historical tradition. Ballroom dancing has been alive at social functions for centuries, and Swing and Latin are the Waltz and Foxtrot of days gone by. In recent years, social dance has proved it''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s long lasting presence in our lives. It is in our media, our music and day to day social functions. It isn''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''t usually taught parent-to-child so people are seeking schools where they can learn.

Photo studios generally charge a large fee for CDs of their clients'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' digital images. For these reasons, most photo studios are rarely used by families as a whole.

This photography business plan shows how Phoebe''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s Photo Studio will meet the needs of professionals and their families to capture the special moments in their lives and present them in the best light. We will establish a relationship in which we initiate the calls to keep their photos up to date. Digital files of their photos will be available for free by e-mail, or with a nominal fee for CD. Because of our relationship with the families, when something big like a wedding comes, there''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''s no place else they would go.

The purpose of this business plan is to outline and summarize the plans of the partners regarding: financial resources, needs and uses; marketing, advertising, and promotions strategies; inventory resources and requirements; demographics of the com
