Problem Solving in the PISA and TIMSS 2003 Assessments Technical Report December 2006 U.S. Department of Education NCES 2007-049 John A. Dossey

Real IQ tests are different because there are different theories on what "intelligence" is. For non-native English speakers, a test like the Stanford-Binet or the CAS (Cognitive Assessment System) are probably better than a WISC/WAIS. Most intelligence tests are biased towards middle class North Americans, but some are less biased than others. Online IQ tests are made-up. There is no standardizing and there is no theory behind their measure of "intelligence." Don t put any weight in results you get online. Go see someone who is trained to administer *real* tests. If you go to a registered psychologist (one specifically trained in psychological/psychoeducational assessment) you will get valid results. They will probably choose a test that is good for you.

The McKinsey Problem Solving Test (also known as the McKinsey PST) is a math computation, data interpretation and logical thinking test used by McKinsey to determine which candidates are granted a first round case interview. In general, candidates whose resumes McKinsey deems acceptable are invited to take the test. Based on feedback from hundreds of test takers, you must pass the test in order to get the interview. There are few to no exceptions to this rule.

The reason McKinsey uses the test is because there are a certain set of numerical computation and logical thinking skills required to be successful in consulting. While standardized math tests like the quantitative sections of the SAT, GRE, or GMAT do test math computational skills, it is possible to get perfect scores on these math tests but fail on the job in consulting.

After finishing this test you will receive a FREE snapshot report with a summary evaluation and graph. You will then have the option to purchase the full results for $6.95

This test is intended for informational and entertainment purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or for the treatment of any health condition.
