When you are figuring a grade you divide the total points received by the total points possible. For example if you took three tests worth 50 pts each and you scored a 45, 50 and 30. Add up the total points scored 45+50+30=125 Add up the total points possible 50+50+50=150 Divide 125 by 150 = 0.8333333 or 83% ( move decimal right two places ) I m having trouble understanding your question, but if you scored, 3, 3, 2, and 5 0 s you would figure it like this: points scored =3+3+2+0+0+0+0+0=7 points possible=5+5+5+5+5+5+5+5=40 7 divided by 40 =0.175 or 17%
