The International Committee of the Red Cross has a unique position in the history of the Nobel Peace Prize: no recipient has been awarded the Peace Prize as often as this organization. World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day is celebrated annually on the birthday of Henry Dunant, the founder of the organization, but it all began in Solferino 1859.

The first Nobel Peace Prize ever was awarded half to Henri Dunant and half to Frédéric Passy for their peace work. Henry Dunant, the founder of the Red Cross, was born into a wealthy home, but he died alone in a hospice. He never ceased to work for peace and against the taking up of arms.

I m subscribed to mostly educational YouTube channels. By far my favorite is Crash Course. They have playlists covering topics from world history, biology, literature, economics, astronomy, ecology, and more. SciShow and SciShow Space are two science and space focused channels. MinutePhysics obviously focuses on physics and MinuteEarth focuses on earth sciences. Wisecrack has reviews of classic literature, movies and also covers philosphy, presented in a comical way. CGP Grey posts videos over a wide range of topics from robotics, to different voting methods, to geography and even a few on the history within the Lord of the Rings. PBS Spacetime, which is obviously produced by PBS, focuses on astronomy and physics. It s Okay To Be Smart and Smarter Every Day are two channels that also focus on mostly science content. In A Nutshell-Kurzgesagt covers a wide range of topics from evolution to astronomy to economics and even a little epidemiology. Game Theorists looks at various topics within video games. Talks about the cultural influences found within games, talks about the science (or lack of) that s used in games, and other game related stuff. (It s kind of hard to describe what they do.) Lastly, is VSauce, which is actually 3 seperate channels covering all matter of topics. VSauce 1 focuses mostly on science/philosphy. VSauce 2 focused on technology and the world around us. VSauce 3 focuses on fictional worlds (games, movies, etc) and how they relate to us. That should give you a good start. That s literally all the educational channels that I m subscribed to, but I m sure there are many other good ones out there.
